The Agartala Gas Turbine Power Station is situated at Ramchandranagar, West Tripura District, Tripura. The total installed capacity of the power plant is 135 MWe.

This is a fully operating and is a combined cycle gas turbine power plant. The plant is mainly used as base load and natural gas is served as the primary fuel. The gas supply needed for 90% PLF is 0.58 and the linkage is 0.75. The power from the plant is connected to the regional grid and fuel from local gas fields is the main source of fuel. The water needed for the plant is mainly from Auraiya - Etawah Canal.

The plant has six different units. The first four units has an installed capacity of 21 MWe and the last two units has an installed capacity of 25.5 MWe. the first two units are commissioned on 05-February-1998 and 15-February-1998 respectively. The third and fourth units are commissioned on 29-March-1998 and 26-June-1998. The fifth unit is installed in 2014 and the sixth unit is installed in 2016. BHEL/European Gas Turbine Frame V is the turbine manufacturer for the first four units and Thermax is the turbine manufacturer for the last two units. Gas Turbine is used in the first four units and steam Turbine is used in the last two units. This is a central government ownership power plant. NEEPCO is the owner of the having all the 100% share and also NEEPCO is the operating company of the plant.
