Anta Gas Power Project

The Anta Gas CCPP Power Plant is located at Anta, Baran District, Rajasthan, India. The total installed capacity of the plant is 413 MWe.

The Anta Gas CCPP is a combined cycle gas turbine and is a fully operating power plant. Here natural gas and naphtha are used as the primary and secondary fuels respectively. The power from the station is mainly connected to the regional grid. Fuel needed for the plant is taken from the South Basin Gas field and is transported through the HBJ Pipeline. Water from the anta kota right main canal is the main source of water and Rs. 418.97 Crores is the capital cost of the plant.

The plant has four different units. The first three units are commissioned on 20-January-1989, 06-March-1989 and 04-May-1989 respectively. These three units has an installed capacity of 88 MWe. The fourth unit is commissioned on 05-March-1990 and has a capacity of 149 MWe. ABB Switzerland is the turbine and generator manufacturer of the plant. Gas Turbine -1 GT13D2 , Gas Turbine-2 GT13D2 and Gas Turbine-3 GT13D2 are the turbine models used in units 1,2 and 3 respectively. The turbine used in the fourth unit is Steam Turbine -1 KA13D2-3. This is a central government ownership power plant and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is the owner of the plant owing all the 100% share and also NTPC is the operating company. IBJ and World Bank are the financers of the project.
