Chandil Dam Hydroelectric Project

Chandil Hydroelectric Project is located in the Subarnarekha River of Singhbhum district in Jharkhand. The power project is commissioned in 1987. Here the total installed capacity of power project is 8 MW and the project type is small having capacity in between three and 25 MW. The Hydroelectric Project Status of the power project is completed and it was in 1987. The Hydroelectric Development Type of the power plant in the Dam is Storage. The name of the Dam is Chandil Dam and its type is Earthen & Gravity, which is Masonry construction. This Dam is mainly used for Hydroelectric, Irrigational and Domestic Water Supply purpose. So there are two units, where all of them are commissioned. The Unit size of the plant is 8 MW having 4MW for each of the two units.
