Dholpur Gas Power Plant India

The Dholpur CCGT Power Plant can be located at Purani Chaoni Village, Dholpur District, Rajasthan, India. The total installed capacity of the plant is 330 MWe.

This is a fully operating and is a combined cycle gas turbine power plant. Here natural gas is used as the primary fuel. The electric power from the plant is mainly connected to the regional grid. The gas supply required for 90% PLF is 1.58 and the linkage is 1.46. The main source of fuel for the plant is from ONGC. It is obtained as ONGC will supply 1.5 MMSCMD from its share of Panna Mukta Tapti (offshore) Joint Venture to RRVUNL. Water from Chambal river through 12 km long pipeline is the main source of water here. Rs. 1155 Crores is the capital cost of the plant in 2007.

The plant has three different units and each unit has an installed capacity of 110 MWe. These three units are commissioned on 29-March-2007, 16-June-2007 and 27-December-2007 respectively. BHEL is the turbine and generator manufacturer for the plant. Gas Turbine-1, Gas Turbine-2 and Steam Turbine -1 are the turbine models used in the three units. This is a state government ownership power plant and Rajasthan RV Utpadan Nigam Ltd. is the owner of the power plant owing all the 100% share. The operating company is also Rajasthan RV Utpadan Nigam Ltd.
