The DVC Koderma Thermal Power Plant is located at Banjhidih, Koderma District, Jharkhand, India. The total installed capacity of DVC Koderma thermal power plant is 1000 MWe. The power plant started its operation in 2012.

This is a partially operating power plant and is mainly serving as base load in Koderma District. The electric power grid from the plant is mainly connected to the regional grid and this is a Sub critical thermal type plant. The primary fuel used here is coal. The plant has two different units and both the two units has an installed capacity of 500 MWe. The first unit is commissioned on 20-July-2011 and the second unit is commissioned in 15-February-2013. The turbine, boiler and generator manufacturer for both the two units is BHEL. This is a central government ownership power plant. Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is the owner and the operating company of the plant.
