Essar Hazira Power Plant

Essar Hazira CCGT Power Plant is located in Gujarat State. The plant is located in Hazira, a place in Surat District. The overall capacity of Essar Hazira CCGT Power Plant is 515 MWe.

The plant is mainly used for base load in Gujarat State. This is a fully operating and is a combined cycle gas turbine type power plant. Here natural gas and Naptha are used as the primary and secondary fuels. This power plant has 4 different units. All the units are commissioned in 1997. 2.47 is the Gas Supply required for 90 percent PLF and 1.68 is the linkage used. The first, second and third units has a total installed capacity of 110 MWe and the fourth unit has a total installed capacity of 186.1 MWe. All the units are commissioned on 26-May- 1997. GE USA is the turbine and generator manufacturers for this plant. Doosan Heavy is the boiler manufacturer Unfired, natural circulation, dual steam pressure is the boiler model used in this plant. The turbine models used for this plant are: GT-1 9001E, GT-2 9001E, GT-3 9001E (for units 1, 2 and 3 respectively) and ST-1 Two cylinder, axial flow, condensing (for unit 4). This is an Essar Power Ltd. ownership type power plant and Hanjung (Doosan) is the EPC Contractor for this plant. This is a CPP and IPP type ownership plant and Essar Power Ltd. is the operating company for this plant. The plant is mainly connected to Essar Steel Plant.
