Essar Power Hazira Limited Power Plant

Essar Hazira Gas CPP Power Plant is situated in Gujarat State. The plant is located near to Hazira, which is a industrial place in Surat District. The overall capacity of Essar Hazira Gas CPP Power Plant is 32 MWe.

The plant is mainly used for peaking the load in Gujarat State and for outsourcing to other states. This can be considered as a fully operating plant and is of a combined cycle gas turbine type power plant. Here natural gas, naptha, HSD and mixed fuel are used as the primary fuels. This power plant has only one unit.

Hazira is the home ground of the plant. It is well known that Essar Steel is the operator of the plant. Sea water is the main source of water for this plant. Skoda, Czech Republic (Steam Turbine) and BHEL (Gas Turbine) are the turbine manufacturers for this plant. The boiler manufacturers are Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Ltd, India. BHEL (for GT and ST) is the generator manufacturer for the plant. Essar Power is the owner of the plant having 100% share of this plant. This is a private ownership power plant and Essar Power is the operating company of this plant.
