Hasdeo Thermal Power Station
The Hasdeo Thermal Power Station or Korba West Thermal Power Station is an 840 megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station at Korba in Chhattisgarh, India. The power station is owned and operated by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company, a publicly owned generation utility formed in 2009 following the restructuring of the Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board.
Hasdeo Thermal Power Station is commissioned in 1983 June. It has an Approved Capacity of 840 Megawatt. The installed capacity is also 840 Megawatt. The third unit is commissioned in March 26, 1985 with an installed capacity of 210 Megawatt. The fourth unit is commissioned in March 13, 1986 with an installed capacity of 210 Megawatt.

Korba West Extension:
The Korba West Extension is a 500 Megawatt extension of the prevailing power station, which is just one kilometer to the west of the present plant and was commissioned in March 2013. The date of commercial generation of electricity is established in the Korba West Extension is 5th September 2013.
