Hazira GSEG Gas Power Plant

Hazira GSEG Gas Power Plant is located in Gujarat State. The plant is located at Mora, which is in Surat district, Gujarat state. The overall capacity of Hazira GSEG Gas CCGT Power Plant is 507.1 MWe.

The plant is mainly used as base load in Gujarat State and is a fully operating power plant. This is a combined cycle gas turbine power plant and the geographical coordinate locations are: 21.1652 - latitude and 72.6613 longitude. Natural gas and naptha are used as the primary and secondary fuels for this plant. 0.75 and 0.8 are the gas supply and linkage required for 90% PLF. Here the electric power grid is mainly connected to the regional grid and water from Tapti River is the main source of water.

The plant has 4 different units. The first two units are commissioned on 30- September- 2001 and 16- October- 2001 with a total installed capacity of 52 MWe. The third unit has an overall installed capacity of 52.1 MWe and is commissioned on 31 - March - 2002. The last unit (fourth one) is commissioned on 18- February- 2012 with an installed capacity of 351 MWe.

ABB, Asea Brown Boveri is the turbine manufacturer for units 1,2 and 3. Alstom, ABB is the generator manufacturer for units 1,2 and 3. GE/BHEL is the turbine and generator manufacturer for unit 4. WY16Z-068 is the generator model and Hanjung is the boiler manufacturer of this plant. The turbine models used here are: GT-1 GT8C2 (unit 1), GT-2 GT8C2 (unit 2), ST-1 DKZ1-N33 (unit 3) and CCGT-2 9FA (unit 4). This is a state government ownership power plant and Gujarat State Energy Generation Ltd. (GSEG) is the owner. Fichtner India, Alstom, Evonik India are the EPC Contractor and Steag Encotec and GSEG is the operating company of this plant.
