Jaldhaka Hydroelectric Project
Jaldhaka Hydroelectric Project is erected in the Jaldhaka River in the Jhalong village of Darjeeling district in West Bengal. The power project is commissioned in 1967 with a total installed capacity of 27 MW. The project configuration is Major as its capacity is more than 25 MW. The status of the power plant is Operational and is working successfully. The water source for the process of power generation is Jaldhaka River. The hydroelectric basin, where the plant is erected is Brahamaputra Basin. The power plant is situated in the Eastern Hydroelectric Region of the country.
