JSW Energy Limited (JSWEL) has a total installed capacity of 3740 Megawatt of operational power producing capacity. In addition, the company has power generation projects at an initial stage under growth with a projected joint installed capacity of 8630 Megawatt. Following are the three power stations under the control of JSW Energy Limited.
JSW Vijayanagar Power Station is located in the Toranagallu village of Bellary district in the state of Karnataka. It has an installed capacity of 1460 MW (2 unit x130 MW, 4 unit x 300 MW). The commission date of first unit is in the year 2000 and the commission date of second unit is in the year 2009.
JSW Ratnagiri Power Station is located in the Nandiwade village near to Jaigad in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. It has an installed capacity of 1200 Megawatt (4x 300 Megawatt). The commission date of first unit of power station is October 2011.
JSW Barmer Power Station is located in the Bhadresh village in the Barmer district of the state, Rajasthan. The power plant has an installed capacity of about 1080 Megawatt (8 units x135 Megawatt) plant. The commission date of the power plant is November 2009.
JSW Energy has attained two hydro power plants of Jaiprakash Power Ventures, which has a joint capacity of 1,391 Megawatt, for INR 9,700 crore.
