Kalpong Hydroelectric Project is erected in the Kalpong River of Nabagram in Diglipur town of North and Middle Andaman district. The power project is commissioned in 2001 with an approved and total installed capacity of 5.25MW. The type of project is small as its total capacity is in between 3 and 25 MW. The status of power plant is completed and is operational. The name of the dam, where the power project is implemented is Kalpong Dam and the type of dam is Rock-Fill and Concrete Gravity dam. The water for the generation of power in the plant is sourced from Kalpong River.

The power plant is owned by Central Government and the operator of the plant is National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC). The operating company of the plant is Electricity Department of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Administration. The beneficiary state of the power project is Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The power project is completed and begun its working in 2001. There are three turbines and each of the turbines has a capacity of 1.75 MW. The unit size of the power plant is 5.25 MW having 3 units of 1.75 MW each. There are three units and all the units are commissioned.
