Khandong Hydroelectric Project

Khandong Power House is erected at the Dima Hasao district of Assam. The power house has an approved and installed capacity of 75 Megawatt. The type of project is Hydel and the status of power plant is running. The source of water for the generation of power in this hydroelectric power plant is Brahmaputra. The hydroelectric basin is Brahmaputra Basin.

The construction of the power house is completed in 1984 and it started its operation in the same year itself. The owner and operator of this hydroelectric power plant is North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited. The beneficiary states of this power house are North Eastern States of the country.
