Lower Jhelum Hydroelectric Project

Lower Jhelum Hydroelectric Project is commissioned in 1979. The installed capacity of the power plant is 105 Megawatt. The type of project is Major and its status is Operational. How to Reach: The Lower Jhelum Hydroelectric power station is located near to Warikhah in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. You can reach this destination via road, rail or air. The nearest well-connected cities and towns are providing bus and auto-taxi services to the power station. The nearest well-connected railway station is Baramulla railway station, which is just 25 kilometer away from power station. There is no airport in the Baramulla district and the nearest international airport is Srinagar Airport.
