The Mejia Thermal Power Station is situated at Durlabhpur, Bankura in West Bengal, India. The total installed capacity of Mejia Thermal Power Station is 2340 MW.

This is a sub critical thermal power plant. Here coal is used as the fuel and the main source of coal is from a nearest minning place in West Bengal. The water source for the plant is from Damoder River by 16.2 km pipeline. The electric power grid from the power station is connected to the regional grid. The plant has eight installed units. The first to fourth units have an installed capacity of 210 MW each. The fifth and sixth unit has an installed capacity of 250 MW each and the seventh and eighth units have an installed capacity of 500 MW each. The commissioned dates of these eight units are:

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited of Haridwar is the boiler manufacturer for the plant. Here steam turbine is used for the plant. The turbine and generator manufacturer of the plant is also Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited of India. The Boiler Model/Type of the plant is Sub-Critical and the owner of the plant is Central Government. The Damoder Valley Corporation (DVC) is the operating company of the plant.
