Paguthan Gas Power Plant

Paguthan Gas CCGT Power Plant is located in Gujarat State. The plant is located at Paguthan, which is a village located in Bharuch district in Gujarat. The overall installed capacity of Paguthan Gas CCGT Power Plant is 655 MWe.

Paguthan Gas Power Plant is used as base load and is a fully operating power plant. This is a combined cycle gas turbine type power plant. The linkage and gas supply needed for 90% PLF is 2.67 and 3.14 respectively. Natural gas and naptha are used as the primary and secondary fuels. The water from Narmada River by a 24km pipeline is the main source of water and Gas by pipeline from Gandhar gas fields is the main source of fuel. The capital cost of the plant in the year 1998 is 750000000$ (US Dollars).

The plant has 4 different units. The first three units (units 1, 2 and 3) are commissioned on 13- October- 1998 with an installed capacity of 138 MWe each. The fourth unit has an installed capacity of 241 Mwe and is also commissioned on 13- October- 1998. The turbine and generator manufacturers are Siemens. Deutsche Babcock is the boiler manufacturer. The turbine models used here are: GT-1 V94.2 (unit 1), GT-2 V94.2 (unit 2), GT-3 V94.2 (unit 3) and ST-1 (unit 4). This is an IPP type ownership power plant and CLP Holdings China is the owner of the plant having 100% share. Siemens, TCE Consulting Engineers, Fichtner are the EPC Contractor and Gujarat Paguthan Energy Corporation Private Limited (GPEC) is the operating company of this plant.
