Pampore Gas Turbine Power Station

This is a mothballed full and open cycle gas turbine power plant. Oil (HSD) is used as the primary fuel in this plant. This is a thermal fuel category power plant and the type of fuel used here is gas type fuel. The Pampore Gas Turbine Power Station I has an installed capacity of 75 MWe and Pampore Gas Turbine Power Station II has an installed capacity of 100 MWe. The Pampore Gas Turbine Power Station II is a state generator type power plant. Both phase I and Phase II are in operating condition.

The plant has an overall installed capacity of 175 MWe. The plant has seven different units. The first three units are commissioned on 31-March-1989, 20-July-1989 and 11-December-1989 respectively. The fourth and fifth units are commissioned on 07-January-1994 and 07-February-1994 respectively. All the seven different units has an installed capacity of 25 MWe each. The sixth and seventh units are commissioned on 24-April-1994 and 30-March-1995 respectively. GE/BHEL is the turbine manufacturer and BHEL is the generator manufacturer of the plant. This is a state government ownership power plant and Jammu and Kashmir SEB is the owner of the plant. The operating company of the plant is also Jammu and Kashmir SEB.
