Pipavav Gas Power Plant

Pipavav CCGT Power Plant is situated in Gujarat. The location of the plant is in Kovaya Village, which is an industrial village located in Rajula taluk, in Amreli district. Pipavav Gas Power Plant is served as base load in Gujarat State. This is a fully operating and combined cycle gas turbine type power plant. Here natural gas is used as the primary fuel. Low NOx burner is used as the NOx control device. The plant has two different units. The first unit is commissioned on 05-February- 2014 with an installed capacity of 351 MWe. The second unit is commissioned on 27-March-2013 with an installed capacity of 351 MWe. BHEL-GE is the turbine and generator manufacturers of this plant. CCGT-1 9001FA is the turbine model used for the first unit and CCGT-2 9001FA is the turbine model used for the second unit. The boiler/HRSG manufacturer of this plant is also BHEL-GE. This is a state government ownership power plant. Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (GSPC) and Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd. (GPCL) are the owners of this plant. BHEL, Tata Consulting Engineers, Jaiprakash Industries are the EPC contractor and GSPC Pipavav Power Company Ltd. (GPPC) is the operating company of this plant.
