Pragati Gas Power Station

Pragati Gas CCGT Power Plant is located at New Delhi, Delhi Territory, India. The overall capacity of Pragati Gas Power Station is 330 MWe.

The plant is mainly used as base load and is a fully operating type power plant. The plant is a combined cycle gas turbine type power plant. Here natural gas is used as the primary fuel. The Gas Supply (MMSCMD) required for 90% PLF is 1.59 and 1.5 is the linkage. This power plant has 3 different units. The first unit is commissioned on 15-March-2002 with a total installed capacity of 104.6 MWe. The unit 2 is commissioned on 09-November-2002 and has an installed capacity of same 140.6 MWe. The third unit has a total installed capacity of 121.2 MWe and is commissioned on 31-January- 2003.

Treated water from Sen Nursing Home and Delhi Gate Sewage Treatment Plants is the main source of water and GAIL is the main source of fuel. HBJ Pipeline is the medium of transporting fuel in this plant. GE is the turbine manufacturer for this plant. GT-1 Frame 9E and GT-2 Frame 9E is the turbine models used for units 1 and 2 respectively. ST-1 is the turbine model used for the third unit. Pragati Power Corp. Ltd. is the operator of the plant and it is owned by the Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL).
