Rajghat Hydroelectric Project

Rajghat Hydro Power Station is erected in the Betwa River near Chanderi in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. The power station is first commissioned in 1999. It has an installed and approved capacity of 45 MW. The Project falls under the category of Major, since its capacity is greater than 25 MW. The status of power plant is operational. The source of water for the generation of current is Betwa River. The hydroelectric basin is Ganga Basin. The power plant is located in the Northern Hydroelectric Region of India.

Rajghat Hydroelectric Project is owned by Madhya Pradesh State Government. How to Reach: Rajghat Hydro Power Station is located in between the Ashok Nagar district of Madhya Pradesh and the Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh. This power station is accessible via Road, Rail or Air. Frequent transport buses and taxi services are available from the Ashok Nagar district of Madhya Pradesh (53 kilometres) and the Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh (39 kilometres) to Chanderi (nearer to Power Station) in the state of Madhya Pradesh in India. The nearest airport is Bhopal International Airport and the nearest railway stations are Ashok Nagar and Lalitpur Railway Stations.
