Rammam Hydroelectric Power Plant is located at about 3 kilometer upstream of Lodhama in the state of West Bengal in India. The power project is commissioned in 1995. It is having an approved and installed capacity of 50 MW. The type of project is Major as its capacity is more than 25 MW. The type of plant is Dam with run of river generation. The status of the power plant is Operational and is running successfully. The water is sourced from the Rammam River for the generation of power. There are four turbines in the plant and capacity of each turbine is 12.5 MW. The type of Turbine used in the power house is Pelton Horizontal. The maker of both Turbine and Generator of the power plant is by the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited of Bhopal in India. The unit size of the plant is 50 MW having four units of 12.5 MW each. There are four units in the power station and all are commissioned.
