Rangit Hydroelectric Project

Rangit Hydroelectric Project is erected in the Rangit River of Rangit Nagar Colony in the South Sikkim District of Sikkim in India. Rangit III Hydroelectric Project is one of the projects in Rangit River. The power project is commissioned in 2000 with an approved and installed capacity of 60 MW. The power project type is Major and the status of the power plant is completed and is Operational. The power project is erected in the Eastern Hydroelectric Region of the country. The source of water for the functioning of the power plant is from Rangit River. The Powerhouse of Rangit III Hydroelectric Project lies at the south of dam on North riverbank.
