Rani Avanti Bai Sagar Project

Rani Avanti Bai Sagar Project is erected at the Narmada River of Jabalpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The first unit of power project is commissioned in 1988 with an installed and approved capacity of 90 Megawatt. The type of project is Major, as the total capacity is more than 25 MW. The power house is currently under working. The source of water for the generation of current in the station is Narmada River. The hydroelectric basin of project is Central Indian Basins. The power project is located in the Northern Hydroelectric Region of India.

The power plant is owned by the state government of Madhya Pradesh. The operations of the power house is managed by the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board (MPEB) and Madhya Pradesh Power Generation Company Limited (MPPGCL). The beneficiary states of the power plant are Madhya Pradesh and its neighbouring states. The Ravi Avanti Bai Sagar hydroelectric project is completed and started its operations in 1988. The total number of Turbines in the plant is two. The capacity for each turbine is 45 MW. The type of Turbine built is Francis. The creator of both Turbine and Generator of power plant is by the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited.

The Unit Size of power plant is two units of 45 MW (90 MW). The total installed units are two and both of this two units are commissioned.
