Ratnagiri II Dabhol Power Station

Ratnagiri II Dabhol Gas Power Station is situated at Navanagar, an industrial place in Ratanagiri District, Maharashtra, India. The total installed capacity of the plant is 740 MWe.

The plant is mainly used as base load in Maharashtra. This is a combined cycle gas turbine power plant and is in fully operating condition. Here natural gas and naphtha are used as the primary and secondary fuels. The fuel is mainly from Reliance Company and remaining fuel is imported from other countries. Dahej-Hazira-Panvel-Dabhol is the pipeline used for transporting fuel and the seawater is taken as the main source of water. The gas supply needed for 90% PLF is 3.55 and the linkage is 1.5.

The plant has three different units. The first two units has an installed capacity of 240 MWe and the third unit has an installed capacity of 260 MWe. The first unit is commissioned on 30-April-2006. The second and third units are commissioned on 07-May-2006 and 14-May-2006 respectively. GE USA is the turbine and generator manufacturers of the plant and Kawasaki is the boiler manufacturer. The turbine models used in different units are Gas Turbine -1 9001FA (unit 1), Gas Turbine - 2 9001FA (unit 2) and Steam Turbine -1 (unit 3). Ratnagiri Gas and Power Limited is the owner of the plant having the 100% share and Enron Engineering & Construction is the EPC contractor of the plant. The operating company of the plant is Ratnagiri Gas and Power Limited.
