Shivpur Hydroelectric Project

Shivpur Hydroelectric Project is commissioned in 1992 with an approved and installed capacity of 18 MW. The type of project is small. Since it has a capacity in between 3 and 25 Megawatt. The status of power plant is completed and are operational. The source of water for the generation of power is from Tungabhadra riverand the basin for the power plant is Krishna. The hydroelectric basin to the power plant is East flowing rivers. The hydroelectric development type of power house is run of the River Small Pondage. The type of Power House is Surface.

The manufacturer of Turbine is Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) India and also the manufacturer of Generator is Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). There are two units in operation and all the two units are commissioned. The unit sizes of power plant is 18 MW having 2 units of 9 MW each.
