Tanakpur Hydroelectric Project is erected in the Sharda River in Tanakpur near Banbassa of Champawat district in Uttarakhand. The power project is commissioned in 1992 with a total installed capacity of 94.2 MW. The type of project is Major as its total installed capacity is greater than 25 MW.
