Teesta - V Hydroelectric Project

Teesta - V Hydroelectric Project is erected in the Teesta River of Singtam town in Sikkim, India. The power project is commissioned in 2008 with an approved and installed capacity of 510 MW. The project type is Major as it has more capacity than 25 MW. The type of power plant is Dam having Run of River Generation. The status of hydroelectric project is completed and is now working fully. The power plant and the power house is erected in the Eastern Hydroelectric Region of the country. The source of water in the process of generation of electric current is Teesta River. There are three units in the plant and all the three units are commissioned.
