Trombay Gas Power Station

Trombay Gas CCPP Power Plant is situated in Maharashtra. The place can be located at Trombay, an industrial place in Mumbai Suburban District, Maharashtra, India. The total installed capacity of the CCPP plant is 180 MWe.

This is a combined cycle gas turbine and fully operating power plant. Here natural gas is used as the primary fuel. The gas supply needed for 90% PLF is 0.86 and the linkage is 0.85. The plant has two different units. The first unit is commissioned on 29-July-1993 and the second unit is commissioned on 09-December- 1994. The first unit has an installed capacity of 120 MWe and the second unit has an installed capacity of 60 MWe.

Siemens Germany is the turbine and generator manufacturer for the first unit. BHEL Hyderabad is the turbine and generator manufacturer for the second unit. The turbine model used in first unit is Gas Turbine -1 V94.2 and the turbine used in the second unit is Steam Turbine -1. This is an IPP ownership power plant and Tata Power Co. Ltd. is the owner of the plant having all the 100% share. Tata Power Co. Ltd. (TPCL) is the authorised operating company of the plant.
