Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO)
Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) is a power generating organization of Telangana. It has terminated to do power trading and has retained with powers of controlling system operations of Power Generation after formation of Telangana state.
Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited has been incorporated under companies Act, 2013, on 19 May 2014 and commenced its operations from 2 June 2014.
Thermal Coal based:
- Kakatiya TPP: Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant is located in the Chelpur village of Warangal district in Telangana. The power plant has an installed capacity of 1100 Megawatt.
- Kothagudem TPS: Kothagudem Thermal Power Station is situated at Palvancha in the Khammam district in Telangana in India. The installed capacity of TPS is 1680 Megawatt.
- Ramagundam Power Station: The power plant is located in the Ramagundam village of Karimnagar district in Telangana. The installed capacity of power plant is 1600 Megawatt.
- Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant: Bhadradri Thermal Power Station is an upcoming project, located in the Manuguru in the Khammam district of Telangana. It has an approved capacity of 1080 Megawatt.
- Yadadri Thermal Power Plant: Yadadri Thermal Power Plant is also an upcoming project, located in the Nalgonda district of Telangana. It has an approved capacity of 4000 Megawatt.
Hydro-Water based
- Nagarjuna Sagar: The operator of the Nagarjuna Sagar Hydro Power Plant is TSGENCO. The power plant is commissioned in between the years 1978 to 1985. The installed capacity of power plant is 816 Megawatt.
- Srisailam: The power plant is located in the Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. It has an installed capacity of 1670 Megawatt.
- Pochampadu PH: Also called as Sriram Sagar Project located at the Nizamabad district of Telangana. A power plant is working in this dam with four turbines producing power of about 36 Megawatt (4 x 9 MW).
- Singur PH: It is a hydroelectric power station, located at Sangareddy district in Telangana. The total installed capacity of thermal power plant is 15 Megawatt. The turbine and generator for the power plant is manufactured by BHEL.
- Nizam Sagar PH: Nizam Sagar is a hydroelectric power station, erected in the Nizam Sagar Dam. It has a total installed capacity of 10 Megawatt. The turbine and generator for the power plant is manufactured by English Electric – UK.

- Pulichintala HEP: Pulichintala Hydroelectric Project, erected in the Krishna River is located in the district of Suryapet district of Telangana. It has a total installed capacity of about 120 Megawatt.
- Priyadarshini Jurala Hydroelectric Project: The hydroelectric power project is located in the Krishna River of Mahabubnagar district of Telangana. The power plant has a total installed capacity of 234 Megawatt. It is a 50% joint project with Karnataka state.
Solar Power Plant:
- Jurala Solar Power Plant: The installed capacity of this Solar Power Plant is 1 Megawatt.
