Vadodara Station I (GIPCL) Gas CCGT Power Plant is situated at Vadodara (Baroda) district, which is at the eastern part of Gujarat State, India. The overall installed capacity of Vadodara Gas Based CCPP Power Station is 145 MWe.

Vadodara Station I (GIPCL) Gas CCGT Power Station is a fully operating and combined cycle gas turbine power plant. Here natural gas is served as the primary fuel. the source of fuel is mainly from Gujarat State Petroleum Corp and Niko Resources, the operating partners of the Hazira field. The capital cost of the plant is 215 Crores.

The plant has four different units. the first and second units are commissioned on 03-February-1991 and 27-May-1991 respectively. The third unit is commissioned on 06-September-1991. The first three units has an installed capacity of 32 MWe. The fourth unit has an installed capacity of 49 MWe and is commissioned on 06-February-1992. General Electric is the turbine manufacturer and Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited India is the generator manufacturers of the plant. The boiler manufacturers are NEM. The turbine models used at different units are GT-1 6001BTG, GT-2 6001BTG (for units 1 and 2) and GT-3 6001BTG, ST-1 (for units 3 and 4). this is a state government ownership power plant and Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) is the owner of the plant. The operating company of the plant is also Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL).
