Vadodara Station II Gas Based CCPP

Vadodara Station II (GIPCL) Gas CCGT Power Plant is situated at Vadodara (Baroda) district, which is located at the eastern part of Gujarat State, India. The overall installed capacity of Vadodara Station II (GIPCL) Gas CCGT Power Station is 165 MWe.

Vadodara Station II (GIPCL) Gas CCGT Power Station is a combined cycle gas turbine and a fully operating power plant. Here natural gas is served as the primary fuel. Gujarat State Petroleum Corp and Niko Resources, the operating partners of the Hazira field is the main source of fuel for this plant. The gas supply required for 90% PLF is 0.77 and the linkage is 0.63. The capital cost of the plant can be estimated as 367 Crores in 1997.

The plant has two different units. The first unit has an installed capacity of 111 MWe and is commissioned on 26-August-1997. The second unit is commissioned on 18-November-1997 and has an installed capacity of 54 MWe. BHEL India is the generator manufacturer of the plant. NEM is the boiler manufacturer and General Electric is the turbine manufacturer of the plant. This is an IPP (PPA with GUVNL) ownership plant and Gujarat Industrial Power Corp. Ltd. (GIPCL) is the owner of the plant. The operating company of the plant is also Gujarat Industrial Power Corp. Ltd. (GIPCL).
