Yadadri Thermal Power Plant or Yadadri TPS is an upcoming 4000 megawatt, supercritical thermal power project coming up at Dameracherla, Nalgonda district in Telangana, India. The project is second largest in South India, at a cost of ₹25,099 crores (USD $3.8 billion) and is expected to complete by October 2021 in a phased manner. The state-owned Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) is building the 5 x 800 mega thermal power station, built on 2800 acres near Veerlapalem Village in Nalgonda District, the second mega project announced by the Telangana government after Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant.

The Expected Commission date of Yadadri Thermal Power Plant is 30 October 2020. The Approved Capacity of this thermal power plant is 4000 Megawatt and the installed capacity is also 4000 Megawatt. The status of the thermal power plant is Operational. The source of coal for the generation of power is domestic coal from the singareni coalfields, supplemented by imported coal. The plant would utilize 50 percent domestic and 50 percent imported coal. The primary fuel used for the generation of power is Coal. The project starts its service in 2022 (Unit 1 to 3). The type of plant is Super Critical. The owner and operator of this thermal power plant is Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO). The beneficiary states of this thermal power plant are Telangana and its neighbouring states. The source of financing for the power plant is by the Rural Electrification Corporation and Power Finance Corp.

The Unit Sizes of the thermal power plant is 4000 Megawatt (5 units x 800 Megawatt). There are five units proposed and they are from Unit 1 to Unit 5. The first unit is expected to be commissioned in 30 October 2020 with an installed capacity of 800 Megawatt. The second unit is also expected to be commissioned in 30 October 2020 with an installed capacity of 800 Megawatt. The third, fourth and fifth units are expected to be commissioned in 30 October 2021 with an installed capacity of 800 Megawatt for each units.

Nalgonda is the nearest well connected city and is located at about 69 kilometres from the power station. Damarcherla is the nearest Railway Station and Nalgonda railway station is the nearest well-connected Railway Station. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Hyderabad is the nearest international airport.
